Popular TV personality Charul Malik, currently seen in Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain!, reveals her love for doing her own makeup for most occasions. Whether it’s events, red carpets, or daily routines, Charul handles her own beauty regimen with precision. However, when on set, she hands over the brush to her makeup artist, using that time to focus on her lines.
“I do my own makeup for almost everything, including events and red carpets. 99.9% of the time, I handle my own makeup,” says Charul. “But on set, I prefer to let the makeup artist do it so I can use that time to go through the script, which we receive just before the shoot. I don’t do my own makeup on set, but otherwise, I prefer doing it myself every day. It takes me about fifteen to twenty minutes, max,” she explains.
Charul’s Makeup Dos and Don’ts
Charul also shares valuable tips on how to approach makeup for different occasions. She emphasizes the importance of keeping it subtle during the day and experimenting more at night.
“When you’re going to late-night events or evening outings where there will be a lot of lights, keep your makeup light,” she advises. “During the day, your makeup should look natural and not overdone. Use light eyeshadows to maintain a fresh, natural look.”
For nighttime events, she recommends embracing boldness. “At night, you can use kohl pencils, shiny, glossy products, but not during the day. Try to keep your colors pink and subtle during the day, and you can go for loud and bright colors at night, experimenting with whatever you want.”

When asked whose makeup style she admires in Bollywood, Charul is quick to mention Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt. “I really like Deepika Padukone’s makeup. Her styling, dressing, and makeup are always nice and flawless,” she shares. “I also like Alia Bhatt’s makeup because she keeps it minimal but still manages to look great. Makeup should complement you. It should match your dress, the occasion, and the time of day. Everything matters.”
