Umarah Naushad Ali, granddaughter of the late music maestro Naushad, along with her husband, Dubai-based Daanish Khan, recently embarked on a magical honeymoon escapade to the serene landscapes of Himachal Pradesh. Choosing to celebrate their love amidst the breathtaking beauty of the hills, the couple indulged in an unforgettable experience, staying in a glass igloo and immersing themselves in the natural splendor of the Himalayas.
Reflecting on their enchanting journey, Daanish Khan shared, “It was one of the unforgettable experiences of living in a glass igloo. The nightly views of the sky and daytime vistas of the Himalayas were truly mesmerizing. One of the most exquisite moments was reclining in a Jacuzzi with my partner, gazing at the snow-draped mountains during the day. We owe the discovery of this gem to my wife, Umarah, who stumbled upon it while browsing Instagram reels.”
Their accommodation, the Infinity Sky Glamping, nestled in Himachal Pradesh, offered them a secluded haven away from the bustling town of Manali, providing an intimate and luxurious retreat in the lap of nature. Daanish expressed his appreciation for the warmth and hospitality extended by the staff, who embodied the spirit of ‘Atithi Devo Bhava,’ making their stay truly memorable. He also highlighted the joy of meeting Mango, the friendly husky, whose presence added a touch of charm to their experience.
Sharing his affection for the mountains, Daanish revealed, “I’ve always had a deep affection for the mountains, and it was my brother Yasser who first introduced me to the wonders of Himachal Pradesh back in 2018. Inspired by his explorations within the region, we decided to embark on this journey within our homeland for our honeymoon.”

Daanish emphasized the significance of exploring India’s diverse landscapes, echoing the sentiments of his father-in-law, Mr. Rehman Naushad, who drew inspiration from the late Dilip Kumar Sahab’s perspective on tourism in India. Despite initial concerns surrounding the aftermath of floods in Manali, Daanish commended the proactive efforts of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Board and the state government, ensuring a smooth and safe travel experience for tourists. He urged travelers to trust their instincts and emphasized the importance of recognizing the efforts of unsung heroes like their guide and driver, Sunny Paji, who ensure the safety and comfort of passengers on the roads.
