December 27, 2023: Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott had a Christmas to remember as he not only proposed to his girlfriend, Hana Pugh, on the festive day but also welcomed a baby boy shortly afterward. The couple, who had chosen the name “Charm” before learning the baby’s sex, embraced the joyous occasion with a nod to Baltimore’s affectionate moniker, “Charm City.”
The excitement began in July when Scott, 39, shared the news of their impending arrival on social media, stating, “#Baltimore Baby Charm is on the way and will be arriving Winter 2024!” The announcement sparked speculation about whether Charm would be a boy or a girl.
On Christmas day, Mayor Scott made another joyous revelation on social media, announcing the engagement to Hana Pugh. The celebration didn’t stop there; just one day later, the couple became parents to a baby boy named Charm.
In a statement to PEOPLE and an Instagram post, Mayor Scott expressed his gratitude for the arrival of their son. “Last night, we were blessed with the healthy and safe arrival of baby Charm. Both Hana and Charm are doing great, and we are very excited for this next chapter in our lives,” he shared. Scott added that he looks forward to the adventure of fatherhood and continuing the work to build the Baltimore that “Charm — and we all — deserve.”

According to Afro News, Hana Pugh works as an operations director at the nonprofit organization Bmore Empowered and is already a mother to a 7-year-old son from a previous relationship. The newly expanded family is basking in the joy of the holiday season, and well-wishes have poured in from supporters and well-wishers.
