Bajaj's explosion, chetak electric scooter cheaper by 22 thousand by aaj tak auto

As the festive season approaches, vehicle manufacturers start coming up with new offers to attract customers.

Meanwhile, the country's leading two-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto has drastically cut the price of its only electric scooter, Bajaj Chetak.

In March this year, Bajaj launched the new version of Chetak in two variants base and premium. The base variant of Chetak was priced at Rs 122 lakh while the premium variant was priced at Rs 152 lakh.

Now the base variant has been discontinued and the premium variant has been reduced by Rs 22,000 to just Rs 130 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.

The Bajaj Chetak uses a 3 kwh battery pack that powers a 38 kw electric motor. The eScooter has a top speed of 60 kmph and a range of 108 km on a single charge

The battery can be recharged with a conventional charger in 4 hours. The premium variant of the Chetak gets color LCD instrument console. It gets features like dual color seat body color mirrors and black grab rail.
