Mumbai, 3rd July 2023: Renowned multi-talented actor and BJP Member of Parliament, Ravi Kishan, has emerged as a fiery leader in Indian politics today. Having showcased his acting prowess in hundreds of films in various Indian languages, including Bhojpuri, Hindi, Marathi, and Bengali, Ravi Kishan has now brought a new patriotic film to the audience. His patriotic fervor is evident in the forthcoming film “1922 Pratikar Chauri Chaura,” set to release nationwide on 30th June.
The film is based on a true incident that occurred during the fight for independence, with the focal point being the Chauri Chaura railway station near Gorakhpur. It was at this location where freedom fighters set fire to a British police station, resulting in the death of 22 British police personnel.
Commemorating the centenary of the historic event in Chauri Chaura, the film started its production in Uttar Pradesh in 2022. Now, it is ready for theatrical release from 30th June. When the film hits theaters in the coming days, it will unveil many mysteries surrounding the events that not only changed history but also altered the course of the struggle against the British, ultimately shaking their hold on Hindustan.
Speaking at a special event in Mumbai, actor Ravi Kishan explained the challenges of capturing the scenes in the film, emphasizing the difficulty of bringing events that occurred 100 years ago to life. The film’s producer and director, Abhik Bhattacharya, stated that the film is based on a true incident from a century ago, which the British labeled as a “riot.” However, how can one perceive it as a riot when it was a retaliation against the atrocities inflicted upon ordinary Indian citizens by the British?
The film “1922 Pratikar Chauri Chaura” was shot in Gorakhpur, Basti, Ayodhya, and Chauri Chaura, the very places where the historic incident took place. Local artists and talents were given an opportunity to contribute to the portrayal of the events. This historical film holds significant importance for Gorakhpur as it will showcase the struggles, oppression, exploitation, and atrocities faced by the great personalities of the region. Additionally, it will also highlight the significance of Gorakhpur and Chauri Chaura in the fight for India’s independence.
Under the banner of Sarju Vision, the film “1922 Pratikar Chauri Chaura” is produced and directed by Abhik Bhattacharya, who is also the writer.
