Renowned Bhojpuri actor Vinay Anand has expressed his views on the diminishing levels of obscenity in Bhojpuri films, labeling it as a positive development. However, he also cautioned against the proliferation of suggestive lyrics and actions by certain singers and artists, which he believes are tarnishing the dignity of the language.
Anand remarked, “These individuals are not willing to put in the effort; they prefer taking shortcuts. It is astonishing to see how they are tarnishing the identity of Bhojpuri cinema. Their actions are highly objectionable and cheap.”
Having worked in several Bhojpuri and Bollywood films, Vinay Anand is currently occupied with his upcoming Bollywood project, “Makaan.”
His statements are expected to spark discussions within the industry, with hopes that all stakeholders will take steps to reduce obscenity and further enhance the Bhojpuri film industry’s stature. Keeping this in mind, there is a need for the Bhojpuri film industry to progress towards greater heights while maintaining its cultural integrity.
