Many believe that a degree is the key to success, but Joydeep Dutta’s story proves otherwise. Despite holding an MCA degree, he faced over 50 job rejections before realizing that skills, not just education, determine success. Today, he runs a multi-crore digital business, proving that perseverance and the right mindset can change everything.
The Harsh Reality: MCA But No Job!
Born on March 26, 1991, in Manbazar, West Bengal, Joydeep followed the traditional academic path—earning a BCA from Asansol Bidhan Chandra College (2011) and an MCA (2014) with hopes of securing a high-paying job in IT.
However, things didn’t go as planned. Despite having the degree, he struggled to land a job. Most companies rejected him due to their strict 60% academic criteria. Even after scoring 90% in Capgemini’s test, his lack of communication skills cost him the opportunity.
From Job Seeker to Entrepreneur
After repeated failures, Joydeep decided to take control of his destiny. He entered the world of digital marketing, brand management, and IT services.
But success didn’t come easily. He faced massive financial losses, betrayal from trusted people, and even had to take loans to pay employees. When the COVID-19 lockdown hit, his business collapsed, leaving him completely broke.
The Turning Point: Skills Over Degrees
Instead of quitting, Joydeep focused on upgrading his skills—learning advanced digital marketing, eCommerce strategies, and influencer management. In 2023, he restarted his company, Affnosys India, in Jamshedpur, and within a short time, turned it into a multi-crore digital enterprise.
